Toyota has unveiled its new Avensis saloon and estate with a facelift. These refreshed models are due to debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The revised Avensis gets a front end redesign, a re-tweaked engine and a refreshed interior. New safety sense and active safety technology features have been exclusively introduced. It is highly likely that this refreshed model will go on sale in the UK in summer.
Toyota Avensis also receives a refreshed design as it was seen on the Yaris and Aygo models. It has an aggressive front end and larger air-intakes. Avensis has a slim top grille design like the Auris. It offers more angular headlamps with integrated daytime running lights.
The rear end of the Avensis has yet to be revealed, but a possible redesign, a reworked bumper and tailgate is expected. Fresh tail-lights and muscular side skirts offer an athletic stance.
A plug-in hybrid powertrain is also in the pipeline and both models – Auris and Yaris – already offers the plug-in hybrid powertrains.
Toyota recently announced that all Toyota models will offer Safety Sense technology on its all new models. However, an update interior will be offered with fresh materials and more upmarket dash layouts. Toyota’s safety sense collision avoidance system and active safety control features will be available as standard on all models offered by Toyota motors.
