Toyota Yaris is a reasonable small hatchback in its range

Toyota Yaris with wide front grille is one of the best small hatchbacks in its range. Its well-balanced body style and well-arranged interior has made it a popular choice of the people. Petrol engines of Yaris

Second version in petrol engine is a 1.33-Litre VVT-I unit that is good in performance with top speed of 109m/h along with 11.3 seconds time period for 0-62m/h sprint. Fuel average of this four-cylinder engine is 52m/g and Co2 emissions are 123g/km. It is fitted with six-speed manual gearbox and seven-speed CVT automatic gearbox with front-wheel drive system as standard. It is available in three and five-door models.

Toyota has used 1.5-Litre petrol unit in its Yaris with 109bhp and 100lb/ft torque. It is the finest engine in this range. It is fast in progress and quieter in cruising. It takes 11.0 seconds to reach from 0-62m/h along with good top speed. Fuel consumption of this petrol unit is very economical with 58m/g along with 105g/km of Co2 emissions. It is available in five-door models only with six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive system as standard.

With single diesel engine, Yaris performs well

The only 1.4-Litre diesel engine is capable of 88bhp and 151lb/ft torque. It is good in performance and takes 12.2 seconds to reach from 0-62m/h along with top speed of 109m/h. Its fuel average is exceptional with 72m/g along with 104g/km of Co2 emissions. It is considered the best engine in the whole engine range.

Hybrid engine is also efficient one

Yaris is also available in 1.5-Litre hybrid engine that is capable of 98bhp and 207lb/ft torque. It is fast enough and takes 11.4 seconds to reach from 0-62m/h along with top speed of 103m/h. Fuel consumption of this petrol/Electric hybrid engine is 85m/g along with just 75g/km of Co2 emissions. It is fitted with one-speed CVT automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive as standard.
